Former USMNT head coach Bob Bradley has departed Norwegian club Stabaek after a run of three successive defeats.
Bradley, 66, was appointed for his second stint at Stabaek in September 2023 unable to prevent the team from relegation to the Norwegian second tier at the end of the 2023 season.
Bradley’s son Michael, a former USMNT international, had been part of his coaching staff at the Norwegian club since October 2023.
The American leaves Stabaek seventh in the second division and 10 points off the automatic promotion places with seven rounds of matches remaining in the 2024 campaign.
“Bob will forever be a special part of the club’s history; a wise football head with enormous work capacity and great commitment,” said Stabaek chairman Espen Moe.

“After a longer period of limited development and varying results, we have, in consultation with Bob, agreed to end the collaboration.
“At the same time, we are very grateful for the work and effort Bob has put into the club and we wish him the best of luck in the future.”
Bradley was first appointed at Stabaek in January 2014 — making him the first American to manage a club in a European top flight — and leaving the role in November 2015, prior to roles at Le Havre in France and Swansea City, then in the Premier League.
Bradley, who was USMNT head coach between 2006 and 2011, then returned to MLS over a four-and-a-half year spell with Los Angeles FC and 18 months at Toronto FC, prior to his return to Stabaek last year.
Having began his coaching career in the US with Chicago Fire, MetroStars and Chivas USA, Bradley has managed over 800 professional matches across his career.
