Titans QB Will Levis exits early with shoulder injury vs. Dolphins, replaced by Mason Rudolph

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis injured his right shoulder during a Monday night matchup against the Miami Dolphins and exited the game late in the first quarter. Backup Mason Rudolph took over with just over four minutes left in the quarter, while Levis was ruled questionable to return.

Levis hurt himself diving for the first-down marker on third down of the Titans’ second drive. He walked off the field and briefly went into the medical tent before returning to the sideline to throw a few passes. The QB completed three passes out of four attempts for 25 yards and an interception. The pick, which came during the Titans’ opening possession, was Levis’ ninth turnover this season.

Rudolph completed three short passes to lead the Titans to the 35-yard line, where Nick Folk kicked a 53-yard field goal to give Tennessee a 3-0 lead. The Titans’ next drive ended similarly with a 52-yard field goal from Folk to take a 6-0 lead.

Entering the game against Miami, Levis had accounted for 579 passing yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions.
