After a brief retirement, we’re lowering the NHL Hope-O-Meter’s jersey from the rafters. It’s a very emotional moment for us here at The Athletic.
There is no more important sign that real hockey is upon us, other than overreacting about projected point totals and complaining about the length of the preseason.
You’re probably pumped. You also may not be. We want to know, in a very short survey, how you’re leaning.
It might be tough to just say “yes” or “no”; we get it, these things operate on a scale. But you have to pick one. Feel free to give context to why you chose one or the other, if you want. We’ll collect responses and reveal the percentage of a team’s supporters who say they are feeling optimistic about their prospects sometime before opening night.
