West Ham's Niclas Fullkrug out injured for Ipswich match – Julen Lopetegui

West Ham United striker Niclas Fullkug remains sidelined with a calf injury.

The 31-year-old, who sustained the injury in September while on international duty with Germany, has missed the last four games.

Speaking at his press conference on Thursday afternoon, Lopetegui said: “Fullkrug is still out with an injury and not available.

“The rest are ready. We would like Fullkrug to be fit now but he is having little problems, they are not very important ones but it’s true we lost him from the first international break to the second one. Hopefully, he is going to be ready for the next matches.”

Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann left Fullkrug out of their squad for their coming UEFA Nations League fixtures against the Netherlands and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen was also left out of Lee Carsley’s England squad. Bowen has only registered two goals in eight appearances this season.

Fullkrug has made three Premier League appearances, all as a substitute, since joining from Borussia Dortmund for £27million ($35.4m) this summer. Bowen and Michail Antonio have rotated the lone striker role.

Despite spending £120million on nine players, West Ham made a slow start to the season having yielded five points from their first six league games.
