Celtic are set to appoint former Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale to a senior football operations role.
Tisdale, 51, spent 12 years at St James Park prior to spells at MK Dons, Bristol Rovers and Stevenage but is moving to take up a backroom position at the Scottish champions.
Celtic operate without a sporting director model as non-executive chairman Peter Lawwell and chief executive Michael Nicholson share power with first-team manager Brendan Rodgers.
In 2019, Nick Hammond was brought in by Celtic as a recruitment consultant before being appointed head of football operations later that year.
They have not replaced that role since he left the club in March 2021 and Tisdale will join with a varied remit to support the first-team structure.
Celtic have a scouting team in place despite head of recruitment Mark Lawwell leaving last year as Jay Lefevre heads up scouting operations with Nicholson leading negotiations.
Tisdale led Exeter City to back-to-back promotions from the National League to League One in 2008 and 2009.
He has experience of consultancy roles with Colchester United and Dutch side Ado Den Haag where he conducted a performance review and helped build a strategy across departments.
