Unai Emery has confirmed that Boubacar Kamara and Tyrone Mings have returned to full fitness and are available for Aston Villa’s trip to Fulham.

The Athletic previously reported that the pair were in line to return to first-team action after the October international break.

Mings, 31, returns to Emery’s squad having ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and suffering knee cartilage damage against Newcastle United in August 2023.

It was the second significant knee injury of the central defender’s career and he has been gradually working his way back to fitness, playing in under-21 matches and behind-closed-doors friendlies, such as the fixture against Sheffield Wednesday during the international break.

Kamara, 24, also featured in the game after sustaining an ACL injury against Manchester United in February and has met the long-standing target of being fit by October.

The players’ respective returns serves as a major boost to Villa, with Amadou Onana, Ezri Konsa John McGinn and Jacob Ramsey also fit after injuries:

“Kamara and Mings are available and will travel with us to Fulham,” said Emery, speaking in Friday’s press conference. “(John) McGinn is training normally and feeling good. (Ezri) Konsa as well.

“I think it’s the first time, more or less, everyone is available to play. The only one who is not is Robin Olsen.”

Villa head into Saturday’s trip to Craven Cottage fifth in the Premier League, four points behind leaders Liverpool.
