Actor Frankie Muniz is going full-time racing in NASCAR next year.
Muniz announced Tuesday he will compete in every Truck Series race in 2025.
Muniz, who previously starred in the television show “Malcolm in the Middle,” has signed to drive a Ford Truck for Reaume Brothers Racing in what is NASCAR’s third-level national series. He has already made two truck starts for the team this season, recording a best of 29th at Kansas Speedway last month.
“I’m incredibly excited to join Reaume Brothers Racing full-time in 2025,” Muniz said. “My longstanding relationship with Ford has been a game changer, and I am thrilled to help facilitate additional support allowing us to tap into their exceptional technical and engineering resources. I’m confident that this synergy will elevate Reaume Brothers Racing and help us achieve great things together. I can’t wait to get started.”
Landing a full-time Truck Series ride is the next advancement for Muniz, 38, who was born in NASCAR’s North Carolina hotbed and has been competing in motorsports in some facet over the past 20 years. His career began by racing open-wheel cars in the Formula BMW USA Championship then moving to the Champ Car Atlantic Championship. In 2021, he transitioned to full-bodied stock cars by competing in several grassroots-level races in the Los Angeles area while he continued acting.
Last year, Muniz raced full-time in the NASCAR-owned ARCA Series, a low level circuit that races on many of the same tracks as NASCAR’s national Cup, Xfinity and Truck series. He scored one top-five finish and 11 top-10s in 20 starts, finishing fourth in the year end points standings.
With Reaume Brothers Racing, Muniz is joining one of the smaller outfits in the Truck Series. The seventh-year team states on its website that it is “not only the youngest NASCAR team on average, but is also the most diverse team in NASCAR, fielding drivers and hiring crew members from all walks of life.”

RBR is fielding an entry for Muniz in Saturday’s Truck Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
