Former Morocco international Abdelaziz Barrada, best known for his time at Getafe and Marseille, has died at the age of 35.
The midfielder, who scored four goals for Morocco across 26 international caps between 2012 and 2015, ended his playing career in 2021.
Born in France, Barrada began his career at Senart-Moissy before spending three seasons playing for Paris Saint-Germain’s B team.

He joined Spanish club Getafe in 2011 and scored four goals in 32 matches in each of his two seasons in the Spanish club’s first-team squad, helping them to consecutive mid-table La Liga finishes.
Barrada spent the 2013-14 season at UAE club Al Jazira before joining Marseille, for whom he would make 33 Ligue 1 appearances across two seasons.

The midfielder returned to UAE with Al Nasr and went on to represent Antalyaspor, Gimnastic, Al Shahania and Lusitanos Saint-Maur before ending his playing career in 2021.
Barrada was part of the Morocco team who were runners-up in the under-23 Africa Cup of Nations and he would 26 senior caps for the nation.
