Angel Reese gets signature shoe with Reebok, set to debut in 2026 after agreeing to multi-year deal

Angel Reese and Reebok have announced the Chicago Sky forward will receive a signature sneaker, which is planned to debut in 2026.

The signature shoe comes as Reese and the brand are also agreeing to a multi-year contract extension to their agreement, which began last fall. By getting a signature shoe, Reese becomes only the second WNBA player ever to have a signature sneaker with Reebok. Naismith Hall of Famer Rebecca Lobo had a signature sneaker with Reebok in the late 1990s while she played with the New York Liberty.

Ahead of her final collegiate season at LSU, Reese agreed to an NIL footwear and apparel partnership deal with Reebok. The agreement came as no surprise considering her friendship with fellow LSU alum Shaquille O’Neal, president of Reebok’s basketball division.

“I’m extremely excited to let you guys know that we are officially coming out with a Reebok by Angel signature shoe,” Reese said in a statement. “We’ve already kicked off the design process, and it means the world to me to have Reebok’s full support and confidence with this shoe and overall partnership.”

During her rookie season, which saw Reese finish second in Rookie of the Year voting, Reese debuted a clothing collection “Reebok by Angel.” It featured three different footwear styles and a trio of apparel pieces.

Reese joins Caitlin Clark as the only other member of last year’s WNBA rookie class to have signature shoes. Clark’s shoe will be with Nike.

However, as an example of the class’s broader marketability, a number of the biggest stars in the 2024 WNBA Draft agreed to high-profile apparel deals with different brands. In addition to Reese and Clark, No. 2 pick Cameron Brink is a prominent figure in New Balance’s recent basketball promotions. Rickea Jackson, the No. 4 selection to the Los Angeles Sparks, is a Skechers athlete and helping the brand carve more of a role into the basketball sneaker landscape.

Reese set several rookie and WNBA records during her first season in the league, including the single-season total rebounds (446) and rebound per game average (13.1). She will take part in the new, offseason three-on-three Unrivaled, which begins in January.
