Rafael Nadal will retire from tennis after the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga, Spain this November.
The 22-time Grand Slam champion will bow out as one of the greatest male tennis players of all time, forming one pillar of the ‘Big Three’ rivalry between himself, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. He won 14 French Opens, winning 112 of 116 matches at Roland Garros, broke Federer’s incredible five-title streak at Wimbledon in one of the best matches of all time, and won an Olympic gold medal for Spain in singles at the 2008 Olympics. In total, Nadal won 92 ATP titles, 36 of those at Masters 1000 level.
With five weeks of his tennis career left, tell us your favorite Nadal moment, and what you will remember about his career. What was his best match with Federer and Djokovic? How did he change tennis for you? And what is your first, or best, or last memory of a man whose headband, forehand, and determination helped to reconfigure men’s tennis forever more.
