The Cincinnati Reds will host a 14-hour visitation for Pete Rose at Great American Ball Park next month, according to a statement from Rose’s daughter.
The team shared the statement from Fawn Rose on Thursday, thanking the city of Cincinnati and baseball’s fans for their support following Rose’s death last month. The visitation will be from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 10.
“Baseball was his greatest passion and he loved playing the game for the fans,” Fawn Rose wrote. “We know that bringing ‘Charlie Hustle’ home to Cincinnati, the city where he was born and where his legendary career began, is the perfect wa to honor his love and devotion to the fans.”
Services for Rose will be private, the statement noted.

The Reds will also celebrate Rose’s career on “Pete Rose Day” on May 14.
Fans have continued to honor Rose at the statue of Major League Baseball’s all-time hits leader outside of Great American Ball Park by placing roses, baseballs, notes and other mementos around the depiction of his head-first slide into a base.
Rose played parts of 19 seasons for his hometown Reds, breaking Ty Cobb’s mark of 4,191 hits on Sept. 11, 1985, at Cincinnati’s Riverfront Stadium.
