Denver Broncos receiver Josh Reynolds was injured in a shooting Friday in the Denver area, according to a statement from the team.
“Josh Reynolds was a victim of a shooting on Friday in Denver and received treatment for minor injuries,” the statement reads. “Out of respect for the legal process, we will defer further comment on this matter to the authorities.”
According to a report from 9NEWS, a Denver television station, Reynolds and another victim were followed and shot at after leaving a strip club Friday morning.
The Broncos signed Reynolds to a two-year deal in March worth up to $14 million. He has played in five games this season and has 12 catches for 183 yards and a touchdown. He suffered a finger injury, which required a minor surgery, during a Week 5 win against the Las Vegas Raiders and was placed on injured reserve.
Reynolds, currently on IR, has been working out on a side field at Denver practices this week.
The 29-year-old has also been on the injury report this season due to an Achilles injury.
