The Houston Texans ruled out wide receiver Stefon Diggs on Sunday after he suffered a non-contact knee injury trying to cut on his route with 1:50 remaining in the third quarter.
Diggs fell to the ground grabbing his right knee, but was able to walk to the locker room. He led Houston with five catches for 81 yards before exiting the game.
Houston (6-2) held on to beat Indianapolis 23-20.
Any injury to Diggs would add to Houston’s health problems on offense. The Texans are already without star receiver Nico Collins, who is on injured reserve and can’t return until Week 10. Texans guard Jarret Patterson also left Sunday’s game because of a concussion.
Diggs, 30, has 47 receptions for 496 yards and three touchdowns on the year.
The Texans have a short week ahead, as they will face the New York Jets on “Thursday Night Football.”
