Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk will miss the remainder of the season after breaking his collarbone in the team’s 30-27 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, a league source said.
Kirk, 27, sustained the injury when attempting to reel in a pass from quarterback Trevor Lawrence. As Kirk braced for his fall after corralling the ball, Packers linebacker Edgerrin Cooper tackled Kirk, who landed directly on his left shoulder. Kirk stayed on the ground and immediately grabbed for his left shoulder with his right arm.
Kirk caught two passes for 59 yards before being ruled out of the game. He was later seen wearing a sling after the loss.
The seventh-year receiver will finish his 2024 campaign with 25 receptions for 320 yards and a touchdown.
The Arizona Cardinals selected Kirk with the No. 47 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. He signed with Jacksonville as an unrestricted free agent in 2022.
