The Kansas City Chiefs landed a top flight pass rusher Monday, trading for New England Patriots edge rusher Josh Uche, according to a team source. The Patriots will land a 2026 sixth-round pick as compensation, per a league source.

Uche, 26, exploded in the 2022 season with 11 1/2 sacks with New England. He tapered off last season with three sacks and has two sacks through seven games in 2024.

Still, Uche has been one of the best pass pressure players in the league. Via TruMedia, Uche ranks third in pass pressure percentage among qualified defenders with an 18.6 percent rate. The only players ranked above him are the Philadelphia Eagles’ Bryce Huff and the Dallas Cowboys’ Micah Parsons.

Uche, 26, signed a one-year deal to remain in New England this past offseason. Now, he’s on the move to Kansas City.
