Cowboys' Dak Prescott ruled out vs. Falcons with hamstring injury

The Dallas Cowboys ruled out quarterback Dak Prescott from Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons with a hamstring injury. Cooper Rush, who has appeared in two games for Dallas this season, took over in the fourth quarter.

Prescott never went down with an injury during the game, but he went to the injury tent with team trainers following the Cowboys’ field goal drive at the end of the third quarter. Trainers were also seen examining Prescott’s bloodied hand during the ensuing Falcons drive. The Cowboys quarterback returned to the sideline after six minutes.

Prescott exited Sunday after an efficient passing day, finishing with 133 yards on 18-for-24 passing and a touchdown. Prescott also added 30 rushing yards on three carries, including a 22-yard run.

Cooper Rush last started for the Cowboys in 2022, going 5-1 over that stretch.
