The ownership situation at Chelsea has reached a critical juncture with the relationship between majority shareholder Clearlake Capital and co-owner Todd Boehly in tatters.
As outlined in our piece on Monday, there are numerous factors involved, and trouble has been brewing for a while, but there have been three key issues: a cultural difference in how the club should be run, Mauricio Pochettino’s departure as head coach last season and a lack of progress with the new stadium plans.
