Four-star wide receiver Jerome Myles committed to USC on Wednesday, continuing the Trojans’ recent climb up the recruiting rankings.
Myles, who plays at Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah, is ranked No. 36 overall in the 247Sports Composite in the Class of 2025 — a few spots away from five-star status. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound receiver visited USC two weeks ago for its 48-0 win over Utah State.
Myles, who suffered a knee injury earlier this month, committed to the Trojans over Texas A&M and Utah. He was committed to Ole Miss earlier in the cycle but re-opened his commitment in June.
What does Myles’ commitment for USC?
There’s no other way to put it: June was disastrous for the Trojans on the recruiting trail. USC suffered decommitments from three top-50 prospects, including five-star defensive linemen Justus Terry and Isaiah Gibson.
The Trojans’ staff hasn’t wavered, though, and since the end of July, USC has picked up commitments from four four-star prospects — linebacker Jadon Perlotte, offensive lineman Carde Smith, safety Kendarius Reddick and linebacker Ty Jackson. All of those players are from the Southeast and all are ranked among the top 300 prospects in the nation.
Now add Myles to that. The Trojans signed three top-50 prospects at receiver in the 2023 recruiting cycle but landed just one high school receiver last year. So Myles’ commitment was needed for that position group. He’s one of four blue-chip receiver commits in USC’s 2025 class as well so the coaching staff is clearly looking to build for the future at that position in this cycle. Myles’ commitment also pushes the Trojans closer to the top 10 of the national rankings.
