Women's Euro 2025 draw: England to face France, Netherlands, Wales

England will face France, Netherlands and Wales at next summer’s Women’s European Championship in Switzerland.

Sarina Wiegman’s side are the reigning European champions after beating Germany in the final of Euro 2022.

They will begin the defence of their crown on July 5 against France, who they faced during qualifying for Euro 2025.

Wales, making their Euros debut in Switzerland, join England in Group D alongside the Netherlands, who Wiegman guided to glory in the 2017 edition of the tournament.

England and Wales will meet in the final round of group-stage fixtures on July 13 in St Gallen.

The Lionesses avoided an early meeting with world champions Spain, who were drawn in Group D alongside Portugal, Belgium and Italy.

Spain beat England to win their first major trophy at the 2023 World Cup and followed this up with victory in the inaugural women’s Nations League.

Germany, the most decorated side in Women’s European Championship history having won the tournament on eight occasions, will play Poland, Denmark and 1984 winners Sweden.

Poland are the other nation to be making their women’s European Championship bow in Switzerland.

The full Euro 2025 match schedule is set to be published shortly after the draw.
