Southampton recruitment analyst Jonathan Kaye is set to join Arsenal and work in the club’s first team.
Kaye, who has been at Southampton since 2021 having been appointed by then director of football and now technical director of US Soccer Matt Crocker, will leave the club, with colleagues informed of his departure.
His role consisted of conducting recruitment analysis and performance insights into prospective signings, such as Romeo Lavia and Tino Livramento, who had been already targeted by Southampton.
Last season, Kaye reunited with current boss Russell Martin after working together at Milton Keynes Dons between 2018 to 2019 as a first-team analyst.
Kaye joined Southampton from Cambridge United and focused on data-driven scouting and analysis and background assessments on potential signings that had been identified by the club. He follows a line of recent departures from Southampton, including Jack Chapman and Simon Jones who left to join Tottenham Hotspur as head of academy recruitment and national recruitment respectively.
