The Big 12 released its men’s basketball conference schedule Thursday for the 2024-25 season, its first as a 16-team league. Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah officially joined the conference this summer as Texas and Oklahoma departed for the SEC.
Each team will play 20 conference games, including a pair of home-and-home matchups against five opponents and one game each against the remaining 10 — five at home, five on the road. All 16 members will face each other at least once in league play.

Big 12 action begins Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, and runs through Saturday, March 8, 2025.
A combination of travel, historical matchups and coaching input was considered when formulating the schedule. That final Saturday of the regular season features marquee matchups such as Arizona at Kansas, Houston at Baylor, Iowa State at Kansas State and Utah at BYU.
The Big 12 men’s basketball tournament will be played from March 11-15 in Kansas City’s T-Mobile Center.
The newly configured league features nine programs that reached the NCAA Tournament last season. Seven of which are returning programs along with newcomers in Arizona and Colorado. The league has had the highest average NET ranking the past four seasons and been the top-rated conference according to KenPom in four of the past six years.
Kansas is the Big 12’s most recent national champion in the 2021-22 season.
