Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has been left out of France’s squad for their upcoming Nations League fixtures later this month.
The 25-year-old suffered a thigh injury during Real Madrid’s 3-2 victory at home to Alaves in La Liga on September 24 and missed the match at Atletico Madrid the following week.
It had been expected that the striker would be ruled out for around three weeks. However, he featured as a substitute in Madrid’s midweek Champions League defeat at Lille after Carlo Ancelotti said he had recovered “very quickly”.

France will play Israel in Budapest on October 10 before playing Belgium in Brussels four days later.
Didier Deschamps’ side began their Nations League campaign last month with a 3-1 home defeat against Italy before beating Belgium 2-0 in Paris.
