Solly March is closing in on a return to action for Brighton & Hove Albion after a year out through injury.
The long-serving winger suffered serious knee damage at Manchester City last October.
Summer signing Brajan Gruda could also be in the matchday squad for the first time for Sunday’s home game against Tottenham Hotspur. The former Mainz attacker has been unavailable so far due to a calf injury.
Head coach Fabian Hurzeler, speaking at his press conference on Friday morning for the Tottenham match, said: “Brajan Gruda and Solly March have trained really well this week. They might be an option for the weekend.”
Hurzeler added that James Milner also might be an option. The 38-year-old has been out with a hamstring injury since the 1-1 draw at Arsenal at the end of August.
Dutch defender Joel Veltman has recovered from illness, which ruled him out of Saturday’s 4-2 defeat at Chelsea.
Fellow countryman Jan Paul van Hecke (groin) is out until after the international break, Joao Pedro remains sidelined by ankle trouble and Simon Adingra is doubtful for Tottenham’s visit after missing the Chelsea match with a minor issue.
