A new Netflix docuseries following the New York Jets’ Aaron Rodgers is set to premiere this winter, the streaming platform announced Monday, as Rodgers will take the field later Monday on the road against the San Francisco 49ers.
“Aaron Rodgers: Enigma,” which is scheduled to be released Dec. 17, follows the quarterback’s recovery from the Achilles tendon injury that ended his 2023 season after only four plays.
Rodgers attempted to return from the injury later during the season, but ultimately didn’t play again as the Jets were out of playoff contention by the time he was cleared to play.
The Rodgers series is the latest NFL documentary-style show to hit the streaming giant following “Quarterback” and “Receiver,” which followed some of the biggest stars in the league like Patrick Mahomes and Justin Jefferson.
Netflix will also begin streaming NFL games on Christmas Day this year as part of a three-season deal.
Netflix’s doubleheader will kick off with the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. ET, followed by a matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans at 4:30 p.m. ET.
