A documentary about Real Madrid’s Champions League triumph in the 2023-24 season will be released on Amazon Prime in the near future.
Sources briefed on the matter, speaking anonymously to protect relationships, have confirmed to The Athletic that the documentary will be announced in the next few days and then air shortly after.
The documentary will feature interviews with some of the key figures involved in Madrid’s Champions League success.
Madrid clinched their 15th European Cup with June’s 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final. It was also their second such title in the last three seasons, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side also lifting the trophy in 2021-22.
The Amazon documentary will follow a similar format to the Until the End Apple TV+ series, which documented Madrid’s La Liga and Champions League double in that 2021-22 campaign.
That series represented a shift from Madrid, who had previously been hesitant to share the club’s inner workings with the public.
Amazon has aired similar fly-on-the-wall documentary series about Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur seasons, as well as several NFL franchises.
Amazon did not comment when contacted by The Athletic. Real Madrid have also been approached.
