Reunited, and it feels so good. On Tuesday morning, news broke that the Las Vegas Raiders are trading Davante Adams to the New York Jets. He’ll be catching tosses from his friend and former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.

New York fell to 2-4 on the season after a Monday night loss to the division-rival Buffalo Bills.
News of the trade gave a boost to the Jets’ otherwise falling odds.
BetMGM moved the Jets from +3500 to +3000 to win the Super Bowl after news of the trade. That’s back where the Jets were before Monday’s loss. Those odds put them just outside the top 10 favorites in 12th, tied with the Cincinnati Bengals and Atlanta Falcons and just ahead of the Dallas Cowboys.
The Adams trade also flipped the Jets’ Week 7 odds against the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Monday, the Steelers were 1.5-point favorites to win Sunday Night’s primetime game in Pittsburgh. Now the Jets are 1-point favorites on the road.
Before the Davante Adams trade to New York was announced, some books had the Jets as 2-point underdogs in Pittsburgh for Sunday Night Football. Other spots had Jets -1.5.

The Jets’ playoff odds shifted slightly, too. They were +165 to make the playoffs and now are +140 and -165 to miss the postseason.
A few other markets might see more shifts as the week goes on and the dust of the trade settles.
As of Tuesday morning, there has not yet been a change to the Jets’ odds to win the AFC East. In Week 6, the Jets’ odds to win their division were +300 and lengthened in Week 7 to +600. Those odds could come down soon, but you still need to like their chances to best the Bills, who are -450 to win the AFC East.
Their regular season win total is steady at 7.5, with the over slightly favored (-155).
Adams will join a receiving corps that includes Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard and may snag the receiver No. 1 spot, considering his history with Rodgers. Five of Adams’ six Pro Bowl nods and two of his three first-team All-Pro honors came with Rodgers as his quarterback. Adams played three games this season for the Raiders before requesting a trade and sitting out with a hamstring injury. He has 18 catches, 209 yards and one touchdown.
