The Chiefs can’t keep getting away with this, can they? Kansas City continues to march on in its pursuit of perfection, sitting at 9-0 after Week 10.
The Chiefs (+400) are still slightly favored over all NFL squads to win the Super Bowl, followed by the Detroit Lions (+450), Baltimore Ravens (+600), Buffalo Bills (+750) and San Francisco 49ers (+900) rounding out the top five.
The Lions, Ravens and Bills continue to narrow the gap at the top, inching closer each week to the undefeated Chiefs.

Comeback kids
One trait several of the top five shared this week was an ability to shake off slow starts for comeback wins.
The Chiefs’ current multi-season 15-game win streak includes victories in nearly every way imaginable, including their most recent test. KC battled back from a 14-3 deficit Sunday to fend off Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos. Patrick Mahomes finally appears to be finding his way in 2024, as he was able to spread the ball around to nine receivers in the win. And the Kansas City defense held a fifth opponent under 20 points, and the biggest play of the day came from its special teams unit, as Leo Chenal blocked Will Lutz’s field goal attempt in the game’s final moments.

Next up for the Chiefs? A matchup in Buffalo with the Bills, who are coming off a comeback win of their own in Week 10.
It wasn’t the biggest deficit, but the Bills were able to respond from going down 13-10 in the first half to knock off the Indianapolis Colts, pushing Buffalo to 8-2. On a day when both Amari Cooper and Keon Coleman were out, and Josh Allen threw two interceptions, the Bills forced four Colts turnovers and outgained them in total yards. Winning a game like that when the team was not at its best shows just how good of a team Buffalo is.

All eyes will be on Allen in next week’s matchup with Mahomes, which has become a QB rivalry similar to Tom Brady and Peyton Manning in the 2000s.
Detroit’s comeback over the Houston Texans was a win we haven’t seen the likes of since the NFL merger. Despite Jared Goff’s five interceptions and trailing 23-7 at halftime, the Lions bowed up defensively, shutting out the Houston Texans (+2200) in the second half. That second-half surge was led by two Detroit picks off of C.J. Stroud. Jahmyr Gibbs piled up 108 yards from scrimmage in the win and helped Detroit settle in before Jake Bates cashed out on a walk-off field goal against the team that cut him last season.

The Lions are now 8-1 and are set to play a three-week slate against teams below .500 before playing the Green Bay Packers once again in Week 14.
Battling back from a 21-7 third-quarter deficit, the Ravens knocked off their AFC North-rival Cincinnati Bengals for the second time this season to move to 7-3 and 2-1 in their division. Lamar Jackson continues to be the front-runner for MVP, as he shook off a slow start to finish with 323 yards of total offense (290 passing, 33 rushing) and four touchdown passes.

But the Baltimore defense continues to struggle, yielding 470 yards to Cincy and giving up 30-plus points for the third time this season. The Ravens D also lost All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton, as he exited the action in a walking boot.
The 49ers remain in the top five of the NFL’s best Super Bowl odds, too, which is intriguing considering they are 5-4. But seeing how strong the offense looked with the return of reigning Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey, this team could heat up in the second half of the year. San Fran was able to bounce back from special teams struggles to down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after falling behind 17-13 in the fourth quarter. While McCaffrey (39 rushing yards, 68 receiving yards) came back to show his dual-threat ability, Brock Purdy really showed up in the win. The play of the day for them had to be Purdy’s 46-yard touchdown pass to Ricky Pearsall, who scored his first NFL TD after being shot back in August.

Rolling seven (wins)
The Philadelphia Eagles (+1000) got to 7-2 with their fifth straight victory as they dismantled the Dallas Cowboys, giving Saquon Barkley the first win in his career over America’s Team. Jalen Hurts notched his third straight game of three total TDs scored, this week finishing with four (two passing, two rushing). The most encouraging piece of it all for the Eagles has to be their defense. After struggling down the stretch to close the 2023 season, Philly’s D is much more stout this fall under the guidance of defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Sunday was the fifth time this year the Eagles limited an opponent to under 20 points.
Russell Wilson keeps proving to be a bang-for-your-buck signing for the Pittsburgh Steelers (+2500). The AFC North-leading Steelers were down 24-14 in the third quarter against the Washington Commanders (+2200) before Wilson put them ahead 28-27 with 2:22 to go in the game with a strike to the recently acquired Mike Williams.

The Steelers also limited Jayden Daniels to his worst game this year, as he had season-lows with a 50 percent completion percentage and 68.5 passer rating to go along with a 36.3 QBR.
Expect a dazzling matchup next week as Baltimore visits Pittsburgh for first place in the AFC North.
Don’t count them out
A sleeper team I’m keeping an eye on is the Arizona Cardinals (+5000). The Cards have won four straight and are atop the NFC West standings through 10 games. They have a ton of pieces around Kyler Murray, out wide and in the backfield. From James Conner and Trey Benson to Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride, Murray has a group he can spread the ball to, which has helped him post the second-best QBR in the league (75.5).

As impressive as they are offensively, Jonathan Gannon’s defense is what really excites me about this team. In three of the last four games, Arizona has held its opponents to under 15 points scored, including a total of 15 in the last two games against the Jets and Chicago Bears. The Cards also have a rather favorable schedule down the stretch. They only have one remaining matchup against a team with a better record than them — Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings.
