The Houston Texans closed the trade deadline on Tuesday by sending defensive tackle Khalil Davis to the San Francisco 49ers for a 2026 seventh-round pick, a league source said.
In 26 career games, Davis has posted 23 solo tackles and 43 total tackles, including three sacks.

Davis, a fourth-year journeyman with a patchy resume, now finds himself with his sixth organization.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Davis in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft before waiving him in October 2021. The Indianapolis Colts then acquired him via waivers before waiving him a few weeks later.
He signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad in November 2021 before signing to the Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams practice squads in 2022.
The Texans then signed Davis as a free agent in August 2023, where he was activated from the practice squad on Sept. 30 before re-signing with the team in March.
